Groaning, I squeeze my eyes closed tighter against the light streaming in from the windows and roll away from it, straight into a wall of hot, hard flesh. A deep, rumbling, satisfied groan comes from immediately next to me. It takes a second for my brain to process and remember what happened last night.

Oh, God.

But my body doesn't need time to remember. There’s no way it could ever forget. Everything aches in the best way possible, a physical reminder of how incredible the last several hours have been with this man.

I never knew one night could be so all-consuming.

Intense.

Passionate.

Emotional.

Draining to both my body and my soul.

The entire experience with Nolan has been nothing short of magical, a sexy, very not-for-children fairy tale. Though, he is not the Prince Charming we’re told about in the stories read to us before bed. He’s the handsome, debonaire villain, the one who lures you in with beautiful words and promises of everything you could ever want. Only, unlike those men, Nolan actually delivers.

The man is phenomenal. I was absolutely correct to think he would be. He doesn’t just talk a big game; he plays it—far too well. I feel it through every fiber of my being, every cell in my body. He’s left his mark—permanently. All in one damn night.

A strong arm wraps around my waist and drags me across the bed until my face is buried against Nolan’s hard chest. That scent that has become so familiar fills every breath. He tightens his grip on me, squeezing me close. “Going somewhere?”

Yes.

No.

Fuck…

I should be.

Mom and Dad are no doubt losing their shit by now and probably have the entire city of Chicago looking for me. Knowing the lengths they’ll go to in order to protect me from all the perceived threats—internal and external—they’re probably tearing apart every bar, restaurant, and hotel for any sign I’ve been there. I should go before they find me, before they do something truly rash in order to locate me and bring me home.

I should.

But this is too nice, too comfortable, too…everything for me to even consider getting up at this moment to face the fallout of what I did. It’s so much easier to snuggle into Nolan and pretend the outside world doesn’t exist for a few more minutes.

Just a few more.

That’s what I keep telling myself as I let myself relax into Nolan, into the moment. He drags his fingertips down my exposed spine, and a shudder rolls through me, making me press myself against him even harder, my legs wrapped around his thigh, pussy pressed to his warm skin.

“No.” I shake my head. “Not yet.”

But this can’t last much longer; I can’t hide here forever, no matter how badly I may want to. No matter how much I’ve enjoyed this, how much I actually like Nolan.

He presses a kiss to the top of my head, groans, and reaches to the side of the bed to grab his phone from the nightstand. His fingers fly over it quickly, then he tosses it back down and sets those Caribbean-blue eyes on me.
